I've just finished reading, "Something Borrowed by Emily Griffin". I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I am now happy to give one of my lucky reader's a brand new copy! Lauren Weisberger, author of "The Devil Wears Prada" comments "You don't have to lust after your best friend's boyfriend to worship this book (trust me on this)... Here's a heroine you'll root for and a book you won't want to put down. I loved it." Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin My reviewrating: 4 of 5 stars I really enjoyed reading this book & Emily Griffin is an excellent writer. Though, "Something Borrowed" is somewhat cliche as far as chick literature is concerned, you can't help but be drawn into this love triangle. Rachel & Darcy are truly best friends. And as best friends there is often jealousy, resentment and competition of the others successes in life. Much like siblings with a love-bond that can't be broken and friendship that withstands almost anything. Darcy is engaged to a wonderful man named "Dex" and Rachel is to be maid of honor. Darcy has the looks, the success and gets all the breaks in life that Rachel has always wanted. You can't help but side with Rachel though as Darcy's character is somewhat unsympathetic but more so oblivious to Rachel's feelings and resentment. Dex & Rachel are also the best of friends and oblivious towards their love for each other until one evening while having one too many drinks, Rachel finds herself in bed with Dex. Both Rachel and Dex are shocked but come to realize they are meant to be together for life. Loyalty between best friends stands in the way of true love? To make this short, reader's can relate to the story and Emily does a an awesome job pulling it all together. It's hard for me to be unbiased as I have read so many romance novels. If I had read "Something Borrowed" many years back, I would most likely have given this book a 5-star rating. Storyline creativity brings me to a 4-star rating. Overall though, this is an awesome read that anyone would enjoy! View all my reviews. Now for the giveaway! For one entry: Visit the Google Preview of this book. I read The Devil Wears Prada and enjoyed it so I'd like to give this one a try. Thanks for the chance to win!
I started reading on page one, and kept reading. (When I got to the part about the show "thirtysomething" having whiny characters, I had to smile. I remember thinking the same thing at the time. So, although i am older than the characters, I can relate.
I read page 14. I think it looks like a great book and I'd love to read it!! Thanks

On page 53 I read about people breaking up in college, I hate reading sad stuff, now I need to know if everyone (I have no idea who they are) ended up happy. I NEED happy endings!! :-)

I want to read this book because I'd like to know more about Darcy and the main character's relationship. It seems like there might be a lot of rivalry between them. It'd love to find out more!
I read from page 1. I don't like reading ahead for fear of having the story ruined. :)
page 39 2nd paragraph where Rachel is remembering how Dex looked in her bed.
This sounds like a fun read.
Thanks!

I'd like to read the book because from the next to the last (penultimate) paragraph, it sounds like this gal was trying to get in touch with her own feelings. There were things she liked about this college fellow, but her heart was elsewhere. So...I'm eager to see the resolution.
At any rate, I'm a member of Sweepstakes Advantage. I don't suppose I should comment 10 times.
Thanks for the opportunity of entering. Wish me luck.
